Accessibility

The Majestic Theater Performing Arts and Cinema Center is committed to making its performances and facilities accessible to people with disabilities.

Accessible Parking
The Gettysburg Borough Parking Garage in Race Horse Alley, directly behind the theater, has designated accessible parking at the west end (closest to the Majestic) of the basement and street levels. On-street metered parking is also available.

Accessible Shuttle
Free parking and roundtrip shuttle service is available from Gettysburg College’s Constitutional Parking Lot for live performances. The shuttle is wheelchair accessible.

Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices are available from the box office beginning 30 minutes before all performances in the Majestic Theater and all screenings in Cinema One and Cinema Two. Anyone with or without a hearing aid or cochlear implant may use the equipment from any seat in these venues.

Elevator
The elevator, from the main lobby level to Kazue Restaurant and the Majestic Theater balcony level, is located through the Art Gallery behind the Box Office.

Large Print Programs
Large print programs are available from the Box Office on a first-come, first served basis beginning 30 minutes before all performances in the Majestic Theater.

Open Captions
Open captioned screenings of first-run films are offered as available for all show times every Tuesday in the cinemas. Some films are not distributed with open caption technology available; show times will be noted online and at the Box Office if open captions are unavailable.

Restroom Facilities
Visitors who use wheelchairs will find wheelchair accessible stalls in the restrooms located on the first floor by the Art Galley and on the second floor near the Patron's Lounge. A companion restroom is accessible through the Art Gallery on the first level.

Wheelchair Accessible Entrances
Entrances to the building and all venues, including Kazue Restaurant and the art gallery, are accessible. There is a wheelchair drop off zone with ramp located directly in front of the theater on Carlisle Street.

Seating
Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to theater seats should request wheelchair seating locations when ordering tickets. To order wheelchair accessible seats, transfer seats or seats that are accessible by scooter, call the box office at 717-337-8200 and press 2 to speak to a ticket agent.

Majestic staff and volunteers are available at performances and screenings to assist patrons with disabilities from the front of the building to their seats or wheelchair accessible locations. They are not able to assist patrons in transferring or to provide personal attendant services.
