Please join the Gettysburg College Symphony Orchestra and Decoda for a very exciting collaboration highlighting The Music of Vienna!

Decoda, a New York City based, world-class chamber ensemble and affiliate of Carnegie Hall, is dedicated to creating meaningful musical experiences through dynamic performances and a quest for social impact (https://decodamusic.org/justice/).

The night begins as Decoda will perform Beethoven’s virtuosic and playful Septet, and Orchestra Director Ari Isaacman-Beck will join them for a performance of Viennese Waltzes by Johann Strauss. For the second half, Decoda will join the GCSO in Arnold Schoenberg’s lush, nostalgic Notturno for Strings and Harp, followed by Mozart’s beloved and tragic Symphony in G Minor, K. 550. These works were all written by composers with strong ties to Vienna between 1788-1896, and tell a rich, cultural story of this famous musical capital. Come hear what these artists are up to!

Tickets:  $5.00 for adults; FREE for children 18 and under and those with a Gettysburg College ID. All patrons must have a ticket.
