Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience at Gettysburg College’s String Day!

Seventy-one talented high school students from four local schools will join forces with the Sunderman Conservatory of Music faculty and students for an action-packed day of music-making and inspiration. The day kicks off with a thrilling concert by our world-class string faculty, followed by hands-on master classes for every string instrument, a behind-the-scenes look at a choir rehearsal, and an exciting opportunity for the students to rehearse and perform a great musical selection together. The grand finale? A spectacular side-by-side concert at the historic Majestic Theater, where these young musicians will take the stage alongside members of the Sunderman Conservatory Orchestra string players for a performance you won’t want to miss.

Repertoire include works by Piazzolla, Grieg, Newbold, Balmages, Bach, and Satie. It’s going to be an amazing day of learning, performing, and making lifelong musical memories!
