Michael B. Gillespie, co-editor of Black One Shot, leads a live discussion on Ganja & Hess (1973).

Anthropologist Dr. Hess Green is played by Duane Jones, best known for his starring role in Night of the Living Dead just 5 years prior. When Dr. Green’s assistant George (dir. Bill Gun) stabs him with a dagger that once belonged an ancient African bloodsucking people he is studying, he develops of thirst for blood all his own. George’s wife Meda (Marlene Clark) befriends Dr. Green and the two of them discover the full powers and curses of the dagger together.
